Yorkshire’s Colin Graves lands ECB role
10:30am Wednesday 20th March 2013 in Sport
Yorkshire’s Colin Graves has been officially elected as the England and Wales Cricket Board’s new deputy chairman after winning the recent election for the prestigious post.
Graves, the Yorkshire chairman, beat Essex’s Nigel Hilliard in a ballot involving the first-class counties and the MCC.
He will replace Dennis Amiss in the post following the annual meeting in May and will serve until the ECB’s annual general meeting in 2016.
Yorkshire will now press on with their ambition to appoint a new chief executive to help with the running of county affairs with Graves expected to become far busier with his new ECB role.
