Pool: Derwent hit Tavern for six

Derwent Arms ‘B’ cut Union ‘A’s lead in division ‘A’ of the Malton & Norton League to five points with a 6-1 win at Railway Tavern ‘A’ while Union were beating Malton Cons 5-2.
Malton Cons remain clear in third place.
Union ‘B’ had their best win of the season, 6-1 at Blue Ball A.
Spotted Cow opened a 10-point gap in division ‘B’ as they sneaked a 4-3 victory over the Railway Club. Bright Steels ‘B’s match against Gate Inn was postponed but they remain clear in second.
Rearranged matches must be played before the last two league matches of the season.
Three of the four semi-finalists in the KenFI Challenge Trophy are from Union ‘A’. Defending champion Jamie Barstow overcame division ‘B’ player Pete Atkinson, of Bright Steels ‘B’, while team-mates Mark Falshaw and Darren Craggs join him in the last four, along with Mark Lund, inset, of Derwent Arms ‘B’, who came from behind to beat team-mate Steve Mills.
