WHITBY Town’s revival stalled on Saturday as two late strikes saw them fall 3-1 at home to promotion-seeking Witton Albion in the Evo-Stik League premier division.

After a goalless first half, the visitors got on top and took the lead through Steve Foster on 57 minutes.

Craig Farrell equalised four minutes from time, to the delight of most of the 319-strong crowd, but Whitby were hit by goals in the dying seconds from Dan Andrews and Shaun Tuck.

The result ended Whitby’s seven-match unbeaten run, but they will be optimistic of getting back to winning ways this Saturday as they visit Eastwood Town, who prop up the table and lost 6-2 at Buxton last time out.
