Richard Buck included in Great Britain athletics team

CITY Of Athletic Club’s Richard Buck has made the Great Britain team for the European Indoor Championships next month.

Buck, whose appearances so far this indoor season have been blighted by injury, has been named in the six-strong four by 400 metres relay squad for the championships in Gothenburg from March 1 to 3.

Buck was last weekend forced out of the domestic 400 metres individual race at the British Athletics Indoor Grand Prix in Birmingham with a hamstring problem.

The same injury prompted the 26-year-old to withdraw from the earlier final of the European Trials and British championships in Sheffield.
