Pool: Derwent Arms cut the gap to summit

Union ‘A’ now hold a slender lead at the top of Malton & Norton League division ‘A’ after struggling to a 4-3 victory over Queens Head.
Derwent Arms ‘B’ cut the leaders’ advantage to a single point as they won 6-1 at Blue Ball ‘A’.
Malton Cons cemented their place in third with a 6-1 win over Royal Oak ‘A’.
Spotted Cow took advantage of Bright Steels ‘B’s free week by beating Royal Oak ‘B’ 6-1 to move into pole position in division ‘B’.
Blacksmith Arms rose to third as they came away from the George Hotel with a 5-2 victory.
The draw for the semi-finals of the mixed pairs has pitted J Milson/S Cook against D Munro/S Jeffries, to be played at Malton Cons; and P Westoby/D Wright against W Taylor/K Taylor, to be played at Bright Steels, with both ties taking place on on Monday, March 18.
