Leeds United's Becchio wants out

TOP-SCORER Luciano Becchio has handed in a transfer request at Leeds United.

The Elland Road club have received two bids from foreign clubs for the 18-goal Argentinian striker. A club statement said Becchio is seeking a move “as financially he believes his best interests are served by a move away from Leeds United”.

United have rejected both bids for the player, who is under contract until June 30, 2014.
