Football: Filey cup test for Ryedale Sports Club

RYEDALE Sports Club are to host Filey Town in the quarter-finals of the Scarborough & District FA Harbour Cup.

The tie is be played on Saturday, February 23, with the draw also pitting Edgehill against Newlands Park, Lealholm against Ayton, and West Pier against Whitby Fishermen.

This season for the first time the Scarborough & District FA are running 10 cup competitions – four senior cups and six minor competitions.

The semi-finalists in the Junior Cup are the same as last season – Kirkby-moorside Reserves against Lealholm, and Lingdale versus Loftus Athletic.

The semi-finals of the District Cup see Falsgrave meet Edgehill and Newlands Park take on West Pier.

The Sunday Cup sees Newlands Park take on West Riding and Itis Itis face Trafalgar – who have also been drawn at home to Middlesbrough’s Park End in the quarter-finals of the North Riding County FA Sunday Challenge Cup, to be played on March 2.

All of the semi-finalists are known in the six Scarborough FA minor cup competitions, as listed.

Under-16: Fishburn Park, Scarborough Athletic, Holt and Heslerton.

U15: Kirkbymoorside, Brooklyn, Fishburn Park and West Pier.

U14: Scarborough Athletic, Brooklyn, Cayton Corinthians and Ayton Athletic.

U13: Scarborough Athletic, Kirkbymoorside, Pickering Town and Brooklyn.

U12: West Pier, Phoenix, Kirkbymoorside and Burlington Jackdaws.

U11: Burlington Jackdaws, Pickering Town, Flixton and Fishburn Park.
