Whitby Town hit road to success in Evo-Stik

WHITBY Town took four points from two difficult away games over the Christmas period in the Evo-Stik League premier division.

Last Saturday, Whitby won 3-2 at Chorley to move up to 18th in the table.

The Whitby marksmen were former York City striker Craig Farrell, after five minutes, Graeme Armstrong after 39 minutes, and Alex White after 71 minutes, in front of a crowd of 553.

On Boxing Day, Armstrong scored a brace of first-half goals in a 2-2 draw at his former club Blyth Spartans.

Blyth secured a point when they scored two goals in two second-half minutes in front of a crowd of 322.

Following yesterday’s home clash with Frickley Athletic, Whitby host Marine on Saturday.
