CAPTAIN Rob Featherstone has issued an appeal for new players to join Ryedale Cricket Club for the 2013 season.

The Scarborough Beckett League side struggled to field a team at times in the summer of 2012, but Featherstone said: “We still played our entire fixture list and this hides the fact that we are struggling.

“We would like to hear from anybody who would like a game.”

The club hold their annual general meeting at the clubhouse in Thornton Road, Pickering, on Friday (January 4), at 7pm.

Meanwhile, Ryedale Sports Club’s AGM will be held at the Thornton Road clubhouse on Sunday, January 27, at 4pm.
