Moone’s My Name appears to have been found the perfect opportunity to register a first black type victory in the EBF Normandie Stud Fleur De Lys Fillies’ Stakes at Lingfield tomorrow.

Ralph Beckett’s four-year-old has a pretty formidable record, having finished in the first three in 12 of her 16 races and having won on six occasions.

She has taken her game to a new level this term, winning at Windsor on her return before plundering a couple of decent handicaps on varying ground at Newmarket.

Moone’s My Name gave weight and a beating to a decent yardstick in Beacon Lodge on her latest visit to headquarters and now sits on a considerable rating of 107, making her the best horse in this Listed event on the figures.

The one unknown is how she will handle an artificial surface but given the versatility she has shown on turf, it is not expected to be an issue.

Moone’s My Name will be partnered by Malton’s twice champion jockey, Paul Hanagan.

The Listed EBF Dual Classic Winning Sire Cockney Rebel River Eden Fillies’ Stakes adds further strength to an excellent midweek card.

Plenty of these bring smart form to the table, not least Michael Bell’s Momentary, who is given the chance to bounce back from a disappointing second half to the season.

The daughter of Nayef, who carries the colours of the Queen, was a creditable fourth on her Newbury debut in April and returned to Berkshire to spring a surprise in the Swettenham Stud Fillies’ Trial Stakes.

That short-head victory over the talented Shirocco Star suggested Momentary could go on to make her mark at Pattern level, but things have not gone to script.

She ran no sort of race in the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot, fared a little better but was still below par at York, and then tired having made the running in Ireland last time.

Momentary takes a significant step back up in trip for her all-weather debut and, fitted with a visor for the first time, there are reasons to believe she can show her true colours once more.

The best bet at Kempton is Serenity Spa, who bids to get off the mark at the second attempt in the first division of the 32RedBet.com Maiden Stakes.

Roger Charlton’s youngster ran a race full of promise on her Ascot introduction, finishing off well to grab second behind Diaminda.

The booking of in-form jockey Graham Lee adds confidence.
