51st place for Simon Dyson in BMW Masters

A FINAL day 75 consigned York golfer Simon Dyson to a share of 51st place and a prize pot of 19,727 euros in the BMW Masters in Shanghai.

The 34-year-old added the three-over par round to earlier scores of 71, 70 and 71 as he ended the tournament on one-under, 20 shots adrift of the winner, Swede Peter Hanson.

Dyson struggled to get his game going in the closing round. He had to wait until the tenth hole for his first birdie after a front nine that included seven pars and dropped shots at the fourth and ninth.

A costly six at the par-four 14th hole put a dent in Dyson’s card and the Malton & Norton Golf Club star played out the remaining four holes in level par, with a birdie at 15 and a bogey at 17.
