A KEEN Higham cyclist says he will have the “ride of his life” when he cycles across Brazil for charity.
Walmers Road resident Simon Stewart, 24 (pictured), set off for the South American country on Bank Holiday Monday where he will cycle across the hard terrain of the Minas Gerias region to raise money for Mencap.
The 450km ride will take him to the carnival city of Rio de Janeiro.
Mr Stewart, who is operations manager at Cygnet Leisure Centre in Hall Road, Northfleet, admitted he was a “bit nervous” about the nine-day trip.
He says he has raised £1,700 so far and his target is to raise £2,000 by Christmas.
