HERE'S your WI report from Ryedale.

Appleton-le-Moors - Mrs Humphreys presided at the July meeting when 26 guests were welcomed. The branch would like to congratulate Pickering WI on its win at Ryedale Show win. The Appleton-le-Moors branch won three trophies - Mrs Humhreys for photography, for the co-operative effort and a new trophy, the people’s choice. The meeting welcomed back Dr Tony Nicholson for his second instalment of Secrets in the Attic It is an intriguing story of love in the late 1800s which he had pieced together from old photographs and letters found in a hidden recess in his attic. Members look forward to part three and his book, which is coming out soon. There will be no meeting in August but will resume in September for a talk called Confessions of a Sisley Garden Tour Guide.
