FOUR sole traders in Helmsley have clubbed together to put on a window display of their wares, inspired by the Royal Wedding.
Lisa Halmshaw, of Milton House Interiors; Rhian Crusher, of Celebrate Cakes; photographer Emma Dodsworth and “Kiwi” a metal forger, have been given the window space of the empty former Ryedale Travel shop, in Castlegate, Helmsley for five weeks.
The display includes plush fabrics from Milton House Interiors, a tiered wedding cake from Celebrate Cakes, some of Emma Dodsworth’s wedding photography and forged calilies (a type of lily) sculpted by Kiwi, along with their contact details.
Ms Halmshaw said: “It brightens up the street and will hopefully attract interest in our companies. We all work from home and don’t have a point of sale.
“There were a couple of empty spaces that looked bare, so we thought we would see if anyone would let us put something in the window.”
