Girl injured in attack

A TEENAGE girl was left with a black eye, blood streaming down her face and bruised ribs following an attack in Norton.

Police are looking for a 15-year-old girl who attacked the 17-year-old on Church Street at about 5pm on Tuesday (May 6).

It is thought the offender fled to the nearby skatepark but a police searched failed to find the schoolgirl.

The suspect was wearing shorts and a grey and white jumper with silver writing at the time of the attack.

Anybody with any information is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 0845 6060247.
