DECADES of campaigning to rid Malton and Norton of massive traffic queues and congestion took a major step forward this week when a £50 million action package was backed by North Yorkshire County Council’s executive after senior councillors were told the problem was likely to get worse with hundreds of new homes planned in the towns.
