WHY is living in Ryedale becoming so expensive?

I have a low emissions diesel vehicle which will do 20 miles more to the gallon than a petrol car, but yet I pay 11p a litre more, and not only that, why do we have the most expensive fuel around? I saw one shop in Norton advertising keep it local' then when I look at the price of the fuel at the garage it's the most expensive in Yorkshire and I know this as I travel all over the county. Keep it local! Support your local shops? No thanks.
