I WOULD like to bring to the attention of the much older Blue Badge Holders, that I am totally in awe at the disgusting looks and grimaces I receive from many of them when I park in a disabled bay.
At 36, I recently underwent total hip replacement and was issued with the badge due to my inability to walk great distances.
On many occasions, especially in Malton town, I have encountered many older people clearly tongue-wagging and giving me the look as if to say I shouldn't be parking within these bays.
I would just like to point out to these people that just because I'm young, doesn't mean I can't park in disabled bays. I have just as much right for as long as I am in receipt of my Blue Badge. Disability affects young people just as much as the older generation.
