IT seems to me that the real opportunity presented by High Malton is to build a sustainable community as a natural extension to the town that offers homes built on a human scale, with materials which reflect and respect Malton’s heritage – and creates employment and other opportunities for existing and new residents.

Objections raised

Gazette & Herald: Letters - zxc

4:27pm Thursday 24th July 2014

RE: High Malton Housing Plan. As reported in your columns, pleased as we are for the home owners of Middlecave Road that the managing surveyor of Fitzwilliam Estates is ensuring only 10 per cent of traffic is generated through their estate, we strongly object to the 90 per cent being added to the already large volume of traffic using Castle Howard Road.

Sorry for the delay

What a waste

Gazette & Herald: Letters - zxc

1:46pm Wednesday 16th July 2014

Gazette & Herald: Letters - zxc

ON Friday, July 4, I attended, as mayor, the wonderful event of Reydale’s Got Talent in the Milton Rooms, Malton. It never ceases to amaze me the amount of talent our young people have. The standard of all of the acts was so high and they have obviously worked hard rehearsing before the competition.
