I notice in the Gazette & Herald that Coun Paul Andrews still has a bee in his bonnet regarding weekly bin collections and has organised a petition to pursue his case.

There is no need to reinstate the weekly bin collections, particularly if people put in the effort to “reduce, reuse and recyle”.

As a community we all have a responsibility to protect our environment by reducing the amount of rubbish we send to landfill and also by reducing the pollution generated by unnecessary refuse collections.
