Charity thanks

I would like to thank all who contributed to the 2008/9 Pickering Town Mayor’s charity appeal.

Thanks to the generosity of local people, the amount raised was £3,242.

This meant that each of the two named charities: Ryedale Talking Magazine and Pickering in Bloom, received £1,621. I am very grateful to the businesses in Pickering for their excellent support and to Tony, my husband, who has spent endless hours twisting everyone’s arm to buy copies of the three quiz sheets.
