Missing Hannah

IT was with great regret that I read that Hannah Gibbons’ column is to be no more.

For me, it has been the highlight of the G&H for many years, equalled only by the superb Dale’s Diary – long may that continue. I have never failed to be impressed by the maturity and fine northern down-to-earth humour that Hannah has exhibited – and developed over the years.

Having daughters of a similar age has made the column even more enjoyable as I’ve been able to draw the parallels in their passing phases of youth. My sincere thanks for all the articles.

May I wish Hannah the future success she richly deserves and may life in the wilderness never rob her of that wonderful sense of humour, or the love and appreciation of her Ryedale roots.
