Re the small egg: It is known as a “last” egg meaning the hen has come to the end of period of production.
When broken there will be a very small smear of yolk “inside” the white – egg albumen.
My late father always teased we children it was a “cock egg” the cockerel had laid.
Over the many years I have been involved in poultry keeping I have seen this happen many times.
