REGARDING the feature in the Gazette & Herald on December 26 about the Boxing Day hunt. There is still an overwhelming majority of people who want to keep the ban on hunting foxes with dogs in place despite claims of support by the hunts.

I think this ban is ignored by a lot of hunts anyway. A lot of the hunts are on their best behaviour when under the gaze of the media, but when they aren’t, they still continue to hunt foxes with hounds and not follow laid scent trails as claimed.

Hunting with dogs and taking pleasure from watching a fox being torn to pieces is a barbaric activity and anyone partaking in this activity should be ashamed of themselves.
