THE total so far collected in Pickering and Thornton-le-Dale during the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal in 2014 was £11,813.85.

I should like to thank all those who supported the appeal, particularly the Rotary Club, the Co-op and Lidl and, most importantly, the collectors, without whom we would not have had had such a successful Popppy Appeal.
