I RECENTLY announced that an internet radio station would soon be running a programme broadcasting stories of those who served in the Royal Navy, and who would love to meet up again with their old shipmates.

We are looking for those who served on HMS Ocean, the Shore Base HMS Collingwood, HMS Relentless and many more.

The programme is on Angel Radio Isle of Wight and is transmitting via angelradioisleofwight.moonfruit.com It will appeal to anyone who enjoyed the music of the 1930s through to the 1970s and we would like to reunite shipmates, no matter where they are in the world.

Email your story, the name of the person Sea search you are looking for, the ship or shore base and the dates to mike.crowe1@btinternet.com or write to Mike Crowe, Angel Radio Sailors, 7 Heath Road, Sandown, Isle of Wight, PO36 8PG.

The first of the weekly broadcasts will be on a Wednesday afternoon later this month with contributions from September 1949, through the Korean War and “C” Class Destroyers on the China Station, to a Malta Story in 1968, and linked to each story, a piece of music of the time.
