COUN Knaggs and Coun Ives say that there are 13 bowling clubs. Do they realise that they are only open from May to mid-August and are not suitable for everyone because of the physical effort it takes to play bowls outdoors?
The short mat is played in villages on winter nights, again not suitable for everyone, to be driving on country roads in winter especially night time, also not everyone has transport.
If they’d looked into these points and given it more thought, they would have realised that they are not a replacement for the Indoor Bowling Club.
