Ode to a Councillor Councillor Knaggs –
Councillor Knaggs time to pack up your bags.
The Malton Gazette resounds with your name,
Do you really deserve such unrivalled fame?
The car park in Malton you wanted to sell
And just for good measure the bowls club as well.
At a recent enquiry you emphatically lost
Now expecting the Council to pick up the cost.
A Tory you may be - but isn’t it fair
That some other councillor takes over the chair?
As a long-time leader you’ve been in the fray,
Please give up the baton and call it a day.

Unfortunately, rumour also has it that he's been replaced by Cowling, who also supported the sales of the car park and bowls club. Just for good measure she also called those opposed to the sale of the car park, 'the moaning minies of Malton.'
