THIRSK, Malton and Filey MP Anne McIntosh has welcomed this week’s Autumn Budget Statement.
The statement is due on Wednesday and includes a freeze on fuel duty, council tax and reduced energy bills.
Miss McIntosh said: “In addition to continuing my campaign for a fuel duty rebate, I am calling for more resources for winter flood defence. By increasing spending on floods, raising the amount through partnership funding and using more natural, softer flood defences, we will improve our resilience to future floods.”
