FIVE YOUNG dancers have been awarded a place at a prestigious ballet centre.
The girls, who all attend Dance Expression based in Norton, have been accepted at the the Yorkshire Ballet Scholarship Centre based in York.
Abbie Mitchell, Aylssa Pickering and Lucy Metcalfe , all aged 10, along with Lily Walker and Isabel Ward, aged eight will be taught by by highly qualified dance teachers, many of whom have experience of being professional dancers.
The Centre provides ballet classes which complement the training given by their own dance teacher and enables the youngsters to dance with other talented children.
Lucy Walker, who runs Dance Expression with her sister Anna Wragg, said: "Congratulations to all the girls - they have worked really hard and we are very proud of them."
