Street lighting consultation
Householders in Kirkbymoorside are to be consulted about plans to reduce street lighting hours in the town.
Councillor Sarah Ward said leaflets were to be distributed in the affected areas, but added that she was concerned about people’s safety.
North Yorkshire County Council is planning to introduce a scheme under which some lights in the county’s towns and villages will be switched off between midnight and 5am to save money.
