PICKERING Library is hosting an event aimed at helping people get ready for winter from 10am-1pm tomorrow.
Age UK, Ryedale District Council and the White Rose Home Improvement Agency are among the organisations taking part.
The RSPCA will give advice on keeping pets safe on Bonfire Night and how to look after them during the winter.
A representative from North Yorkshire Highways Department will offer road-safety tips, while the fire brigade will explain how to ensure your home is safe.
Representatives from the U3A will talk about their learning opportunities and volunteers from the North Yorkshire Home Library Service will be explaining how their service combats social isolation.
There will also be craft and activity stalls for children and adults plus story time, Halloween crafts and a pumpkin competition.
