ENGLAND rugby legend Mike Catt gave a boost to patients at St Catherine’s Hospice on a visit to Scarborough.
Mike chatted to patients and relatives on the in-patient unit and also met trustees, volunteers and staff and later attended a dinner at Scarborough Rugby Club which raised almost £2,000 for the hospice.
The day was organised by Jonathan Lucas, relationship manager at the Yorkshire Bank, as part of its work to support the local community.
David Marshall, director of funding development for Saint Catherine’s, said: “We were delighted to welcome Mike to St Catherine’s and everyone got a lift from meeting him.”
