A CONFERENCE looking at the area’s Roman past is being held at the Milton Rooms, in Malton, on Saturday.
Romans in Ryedale and Beyond has been organised by the Roman Antiquities Section of the Yorkshire Archaeological Society, with the Roman Society and the Friends of Malton Museum.
The day will bring together leading experts who, in addition to considering Roman Malton and Norton, will discuss a variety of related topics.
A final paper will be given by Dr Peter Addyman, chairman of the Malton Museum Foundation, on The Roman Malton Museum: A vision for the future.
The day will finish with a wine reception, sponsored by the Friends of Malton Museum, in the Parish Rooms.
