RYEDALE youngsters are being invited to take part in a three-day workshop with the world famousYoung Americans performance group.

The Young Americans will be coming to Lady Lumley’s School in Pickering, from November 13 - 15 for the voice, dance and drama workshops which will culminate in a public performance.

Chris Silburn, head of drama at the school, said: "The Young Americans is a group of 42 performers aged 18 to 25, who bring vitality and talent to share with young people all over the world.

"They have won an Academy award, are regular guests on America’s top rated entertainment programmes and tour extensively throughout America, Europe and Asia."

Chris said young people between the ages of eight and 18 were being invited to sign up to take part in what promises to be a once in a lifetime theatrical experience.

"We are particularly looking for students aged 8-10 to be involved- no previous experience is required, just enthusiasm and commitment to the three days of workshops," he added.
