SCARBOROUGH & Ryedale Astronomical Society has a guest speaker for its October meeting.
Julian Onions, a postgraduate student from Nottingham University, will be giving a talk entitled Big Telescopes at 7.45pm on Friday, October 17, at Ayton Village Hall, Wilsons Lane, East Ayton.
The talk is a rundown of some of the current large telescopes around the planet and what is planned for the near future. Non-society members are welcome, with a £2 charge on the door.
