NURSES will be the main medical staff providing walk-in care at the Castle Health Centre in Scarborough between October 1 and March 31 until the local NHC launch an urgent care service in April 2015.
Under the interim arrangements, 30 patients will be seen a day between 9am and 5pm.
It is not intended to be an alternative to patients seeing their GP and the nurses will deal with symptoms that need urgent attention such as burns, high temperatures, infections and cuts.
