THIEVES have stolen a mountain bike worth £3,500 from a supermarket car park in Malton.
The black carbon fibre Lapierre Zesty was attached to the roof of a car in the Morrison’s car park in Castlegate at about midday on Easter Monday when it was stolen.
PC Melony Pitchford, of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you were in the car park at the time of the theft and noticed anyone acting in a suspicious manner, I urge you to contact the police straight away.”
“I am also keen to speak to anyone who has been offered a mountain bike, matching the description of the one which has been stolen, and ask them to get in touch as soon as possible.”
