SHERIFF Hutton Bowls Club is appealing for new members.
The season runs from April to October and in addition to competitions, the club plays in friendly leagues on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Wednesday afternoons.
The club’s ladies also play in a league on Tuesday afternoons and there is social bowling on Monday evenings and members can use the green at any time.
To encourage people to come and give the club a try, there is an offer of one-year free trial membership, free loan of woods and free tuition. This offer is also available to any lapsed members who rejoin for 2014.
The green reopens on Monday for social bowling in the evening and is holding an open afternoon on Saturday. For more information, phone 01347 810233.
