The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) has launched its annual campaign to recruit lifeguards for Scarborough, Whitby, Sandsend and Filey beaches.
The charity will run courses for suitable candidates and give successful applicants a two-week induction course before they start work. People from 16 upwards and who are fit are being encouraged to apply.
Lifeguards can work up to 48 hours per week and the lifeguard service runs from May 24 to September 7, seven days a week between 10am and 6pm.
