FUNDS will be collected for two Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) branches at a Northallerton supermarket this weekend to mark the charity’s 75th anniversary. Volunteers from Hambleton and Richmondshire CAB will be collecting at Sainsbury’s tomorrow.
As well as a bucket collection and tombola, they will be promoting the work of the organisation.
In particular, CAB will be raising awareness of its Advice for the Future campaign, asking people to pledge support for free advice by either signing a petition or agreeing to access the online petition at citizensadvice.org.uk/adviceforthefuture
Carol Shreeve, manager at Hambleton and Richmondshire CAB said: “Demand for our service is rising and we really appreciate Sainsbury’s giving us the opportunity to raise funds in this way. We would ask people to come show their support for this much-needed service.”
