THIEVES stole a medal and a wristwatch from a house in Northallerton.
The burglary happened between 7.45am and 6pm on Monday, August 4, at the rear of a house on Thirsk Road, and items stolen included a 1980s ladies’ Gucci wrist watch with a gold solid band strap and interchangeable bezel rings, and an African Star medal, awarded to soldiers who served in the Africa campaign during the Second World War.
Detective Constable Matt Mitchell, of Northallerton CID, said: “The stolen items are of great sentimental value to the owners.
“If you have been offered items matching the description of those which have been stolen, I urge you to contact the police straight away. “Anyone with additional information should phone Northallerton CID on 101.
