A CYCLIST was taken to hospital following a crash with a car in Hambleton.
The crash happened at about 1.10pm yesterday, in Highmoor Lane, Shipton-by-Beningbrough, and involved a black Vauxhall Astra.
A police spokesman said the male cyclist suffered minor injuries and was taken to York Hospital for a check-up, and the female driver of the Astra suffered a cut lip and was shaken up, but did not require hospital treatment.
The road was reopened at just after 2pm.
