A MAN had his nose broken in an unprovoked attack outside a Malton pub at the weekend.
The 20-year-old, from the local area, was talking to a friend near to the King's Head in the Market Place at 1am on Sunday when a stranger walked up to him and punched him in the face.
Police said he was male, in his 20s, around 5ft 10, average build with dark brown hair.

A TEENAGER has told police he was smashed over the head and neck by a glass in Helmsley on Saturday night.
The 19-year-old from the town was walking along Bridge Street at about 1.45am when he says he was struck. The pair are said to have been friends and had been drinking locally. The victim's injuries are not thought to be serious.
A PUMP worth £3,000 has been taken from a field in Pickering.
The equipment is being described as a union TX oil pump and was taken from land near Haygate Lane sometime between September 23 and 30 .
