11:42am Wednesday 10th October 2012 in News
BEER made at Ampleforth Abbey has been shortlisted for a deliciouslyorkshire award as the Best Drink of 2012.
Ampleforth Abbey beer, produced to a 200-year-old recipe, was launched in June and is proving popular in outlets across the North of England.
Sean McFetrich, director of commercial operations at Ampleforth, said: “We are delighted that our beer has been recognised. “Our customers feedback has been very positive and being shortlisted for the award demonstrates its premium high quality nature.
“The tradition, heritage and provenance of Ampleforth beer is unique, and it is great news that centuries after its recipe was devised, it is still regarded as one of the best there is.”
The deliciouslyorkshire awards will be announced at a ceremony on Thursday, October 25, at the National Railway Museum in York.
