Community group cash up for grabs

COMMUNITY projects in Kirkbymoorside, Wombleton and Welburn are being invited to bid for grants in a a scheme promoted by Ryedale District Council.
There are two categories, for small projects seeking up to £750, and for larger schemes wanting between £750 and £10,000.
Kirkbymoorside councillor Coun David Cussons, (Con), said: “All voluntary and community groups in the Kirkbymoorside ward are invited to submit bids.
“The allocation of funding will be decided at a public event when residents will have the opportunity to vote for their preferred projects.”
The event is being held at Kirkbymoorside Community Primary School on October 18, 5pm-7pm.
