Car park concerns in Helmsley

TOWN councillors in Helmsley have met Richard Marr, highways area manager, to discuss car parking and maintenance work in the town.

Among their concerns was the loss of parking at the rear of the Black Swan Hotel due to development. Town councillors were told at their meeting that a new memorial seat is to be provided in the town in memory of Sally Frank on either Elm Green or outside the primary school, while a bench for Roy and Dorothy Watson in The Limes is to be re-positioned.

The next meeting of the council is to be held on Monday, October 29 at the national park offices.
