A CAR enthusiast is hoping to restart the Malton Motor Show.

Jo Peckitt, who lives near Sherburn, wants to reintroduce the attraction to the town’s annual calendar in a bid to attract more people to the area.

The 23-year-old, who has been a car fan since she was a teenager, remembered that it had always been a good show.

She said: “It was a great family day out as well as providing something special for all us motor enthusiasts.

“If we could get it started again, I would be looking to include all sort of cars, from the classic through to modified and rally ones and also include motorbikes and displays by local car dealers.”

Jo, who runs local car club Malton Cruise, said she would like to hear from anyone interested in getting involved and helping to organise the show.

“It would be great for Malton as it would attract people to the town and help local businesses too,” she said.

“If it goes well, it could be built on so it gets bigger and better each year.”

Anyone who is interested in getting involved with reviving the Malton Motor Show should email Jo at slimshady89@hotmail.co.uk or phone her on 07975 787864.
