Forest Holidays gets new owners

A FINANCE deal has been struck involving the Forest Holidays company which has log cabins at two sites in Ryedale.

The mid-market private equity firm LDC has announced it has completed a “significant investment” to support the management buyout and new site roll-out of Forest Holidays, specialists in rural holiday acacommodation.

The deal enables existing shareholder The Camping and Caravanning Club to exit the business. The Forestry Commission will retain a significant shareholding.

Forest Holidays was established in 2006 and and has 315 cabins set in seven Forestry Commission estates across the UK including Cropton and Keldy near Pickering.
