Dentist’s visit gets youngsters smiling

YOUNGSTERS learned more about the importance of looking after their teeth at a special session at Puddleducks Children’s Nursery in Sheriff Hutton.

Owner Sarah Kelly invited Christine Parker of Howardian Dental Practice to provide a morning of fun and education.

The session included examples of good and bad foods and saw the dentist teach the children good brushing techniques, then each child received a new toothbrush.

Sarah said: “We have a responsibility to teach children good habits for self-care and healthy lifestyles. Having a dentist next door was too good an opportunity to miss, and luckily for us Christine has a wonderful rapport with children and was more than willing to pay us a visit.

“All children and adults involved had lots of fun.”
